The teams prospects seem to have improved during recent weekends, culminating in their first pole position and podium of the year with George Russell in Montreal, while Lewis Hamilton also scored his best race result of the season so far in P4.

The Spanish Grand Prix has traditionally seen a number of teams bringing major upgrade packages in the past. Barcelona also marks the first race of a triple-header including Austria and Great Britain and is the start of five races in six weeks. Lando Norris remains the only driver to have scored in every Grand Prix of 2024 so far. The Englishman knows that is he shows up every weekend and does his best and knowing that McLaren will also execute, he has a chance at the podium every weekend, maybe even on the top step of the podium.
