Formula 1 Prediction | McLaren are catching up
Lando Norris is in his prime of his life, Norris had his first career race win in Miami and now last week he did amazingly at driving his way to second place and challenging Max Verstappen in the closing stages to cross the line 0.725s behind.
Norris also won Driver of the Day for the third race on the bounce, having gone second-first-second in the last three, and sits fourth in the drivers’ standings, just six points behind Red Bull’s Sergio Perez.
Oscar Piastri feels confident that McLaren will be racing “towards the front” at most upcoming races following another strong performance in Imola

Formula 1 Prediction | Red Bull are back on top
It was not one of those easy race win in Imola for Max Verstappen but thankfully due to good strategy, help from Sergio Perez and exceptional driving from Verstappen they were still able to secure P1 at the end.
“When you look at the turnaround we had from Friday into Saturday to get the pole and to get the victory again today, it’s been a phenomenal performance and turnaround by the team but also Max has been incredible this weekend, and again he’s had to work very hard for the pole and the victory."
Red Bull head into Monaco next weekend having won four out of the last five races there, and expect Sergio Perez to provide more of a threat given his street track prowess. Whether that will be enough to hold the threat of McLaren at bay remains to be seen.

Formula 1 Prediction | Don't count Ferrari out yet
Ferrari is still in the game. During free practice last week in Imnola Charles L:eclerc was fastest in both FP1 and FP2 on Friday as Ferrari made a strong early impression. This was the first time Leclerc and Carlos Sainz drove with the new upgrades and it seemed all too good.
However, when it mattered the most during qualifying session on Saturday Leclerc and Sainz could not keep up the pace with Red Bull driver Max Verstappen and McLaren duo Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris.
“It’s a shame, because when you have upgrades on the car, when you are at [Ferrari’s] home, you obviously want to do really well, but today was the best we could do. Tomorrow we will focus on maximizing the result, but the target remains the win, for sure.”
Charles Leclerc finished third in Ferrari’s first home race of the year at Imola, but said he leaves the track encouraged that Ferrari can be fighting the pace setters ahead by solving one specific problem.
Its only on the launch that they are having troubles and Leclerc feels confident that when they fix this they will be back in the fight.
