Formula 1 Prediction | New Car Updates by McLaren and Mercedes
McLaren had a pretty good start of the season compared to last year and had an impressive weekend at the Chinese Grand Prix. Lando Norris finished fastest in Sprint Qualifying and then had a strong second finish in the Sunday race.
All this was before their long awaited major upgrade package that is expected in Miami. If these upgrades are anything like they have done last year in Australia, we could see Lando and Oscar back on the Podium.
None of the teams are standing still and Mercedes have also stated that they have new developments to bring to their W15. In hope to fix their struggling season these upgrades hope to bring them closer to the front.
It’s a sign of how much of a step forward each update could be that the two teams are willing to introduce them during a Sprint weekend, with just one hour of running in FP1 available to analyze the impact.

Formula 1 Prediction | Red Bull continue their dominance performance
Winning in Formula 1 is not just about what happens on the race track, but there is a lot going on at the same time. A good example is how well the Red Bull Pit Crew is doing and breaking records for driver Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez. Red Bull Pit crew pulled off the most successful double pit of the season. They managed to change four tires from Verstappen and Perez in just 1.90s and 2.00s. This shows how focused Red Bull are on every aspect of the race.
However, it doesn't stop there as past of Red Bulls success come from their master of strategy. You may already be familiar with the lead strategist, Christian Horner. Horner and his team are consistently outmaneuvering their competitors on the track. From things like tire choices to the optimal moment for a pit stop, or even reacting fast to weather conditions. Red Bull's ability to make strategic call is the difference between winning or losing.

Formula 1 Prediction | McLaren are looking to challenge Ferrari
As it stands now before the Miami Grand Prix Lando Norris is just 11 points away to catching up to Carlos Sainz in the 2024 Drivers Championship. With new upgrades on the way for the McLaren we could expect them to challenge the Ferraris for the Podium.
Norris believes that the team will need two big steps to catch up to Ferrari and then the dominant Red Bull. Norris knows that some tracks favor them against Ferrari and other tracks dont, therefore it will be a close race between the two teams.
Despite these new update arriving in Miami McLaren team principal said “Ferrari will also bring updates [to Imola], so it will become a race to see who can update best. But I think one update package alone won’t be enough to catch them,”
