Formula 1 Prediction | Can Mercedes Three-Peat in Hungary
Are the Mercedes back? Can they do it three times in a row?
Despite Mercedes having won the previous race in Austria, we did not feel like Mercedes was ready to compete again ahead of the British Grand Prix. This was mostly due to the manner that George Russel won because of the fight between Max Verstappen and Lando Norris that ended up in a collision.
Silverstone however was a different story, Mercedes locking out the front row with an impressive qualifying performance. They also managed to keep that one-two position for a long time before the rain hit and then seeing Lewis Hamilton secure his first win since 2021 to make it back to back success for the team.
It is clear now that Mercedes are back and finally have the pace to fight for regular race wins and taking on Red Bull and McLaren. Hungary is the first of two races where Mercedes are also expected to bring further upgrades based on Wolff’s comments last weekend.

Formula 1 Prediction | McLaren still looking for their second win
McLaren have consistently finished on the podium this season where they even got a race win in Miami. However, they have struggled to deliver that final step to win races. Whether its the car, driver experience or missed opportunities due to bad strategies.
Last Race McLaren had a pit stop decision that cost Oscar Piastri significant time and dropped him out of the podium fight when he had been running a very competitive second. Later we also saw the final stop for Lando Norris, where McLaren fit soft tyres that ultimately degraded too much rather than the new set of mediums they had saved.
Ever since Norris won in Miami in May, McLaren have been in the mix for victory in Imola, Canada, Spain and Austria prior to Silverstone, but have failed to get over the line once again. The biggest margin to the winner of those previous four races was 3.8 seconds in Canada, highlighting just how close McLaren are.

Formula 1 Prediction | Can Max Verstappen find a way to win the Battle
Max Verstappen is ready to take on the Challenge from multiple drivers and teams. The field has continued to converge and it is really unknown what is going to happen.
Verstappen and Red Bull dominated the start to F1’s latest ‘ground effect’ era of technical regulations, storming to both world titles during the 2022 and 2023 seasons, but they have faced stiffer competition this year.
This year we have seen four different teams and six different drivers win a race so far, with Red Bull, Ferrari, McLaren and Mercedes all triumphing via Verstappen, Carlos Sainz, Charles Leclerc, Lando Norris, George Russell and Lewis Hamilton respectively.
“We had some great years. Of course, this year also started off really competitively, and now everyone’s catching up a bit. Every race is a proper battle as well, so it’s great.
“I think that [theme] will continue also for the rest of the season, so it’s really unknown what is going to happen, and that’s great for the sport.”
