It has been five years since the last race took place at the Chinese Grand Prix and its now finally time to return to a circuit that has delivered some amazing races in the past. As everyone is preparing to arrive in Shanghai, lets dive into the insights for this race.
Formula 1 Prediction | Sprint Race
This weekend at the Chinese Grand Prix, we will experience our first Sprint Week of the season. But, that's not all because for the 2024 season F1 Sprint weekends have a different format. Sprint Qualifying will now take place on Friday, with regular Qualifying taking place after the 100km Sprint race on a Saturday.
Rather than Qualifying for Sunday's race, Sprint Qualifying (formerly known as the Sprint Shootout) will follow later on Friday. Saturday will then begin with the 100km Sprint contest, with full Qualifying to follow later in the day, setting the grid for the Grand Prix on Sunday.
The fact that teams have no data from the circuit with this generation of cars promises an unpredictable weekend. This could give Zhou Guanyu an opportunity to work his way in the middle of the pack. Zhou Guanyu's infatuation with Formula 1 began at China's first race in 2004 and, 20 years on, he will race in front of his home fans for the first time as an F1 driver.

Formula 1 Prediction | Can Ferrari still pose a threat to Red Bull?
Max Verstappen racing for Red Bull has started the season with back to back wins, but then Australia happened. In Australia Carlos Sainz won the race with Charles Leclerc just behind him for a Ferrari 1-2 finish. Ferrari has taken full advantage of Max's first DNF after 43 race finishes and thus allowed them to catch up on points for the Constructors Championship.
However, Verstappen did not let go of the gas at the Japanese Grand Prix and together with his teammate Sergio Perez they took 1-2 finish for Red Bull to extend the constructors championship lead again by 21 points.
This weekend we race at the Chinese Grand Prix and since there aren't any data for the last five years, we could expect anything to happened.

Formula 1 Prediction | Can Carlos Sainz put another show to Challenge Max Verstappen?
This is the best start of a season for Carlos Sainz career ever. He has a 100% podium rating this season and has had the upper hand on Charles Leclerc.
However, the two Ferrari drivers are going through different situations. Sainz knew since the beginning of the season that this year would be his last with Ferrari and that he would have to look for a job next season. With this in mind, the need to find a new job has sparked something from Sainz that is working well for him.
Carlos Sainz has fielded more questions over his future F1 plans, stating that he has “no clue” where he will be racing next year as things stand, while vowing to “keep pushing” to impress.

Formula 1 Prediction | Mercedes are searching for a way back in
The Formula 1 2024 season did not start exactly as Mercedes has expected. They knew from last year that the Red Bull are way ahead of the pack with the development of their car, but they had hoped to have made a progress across the board.
Hamilton has already signed his next year contract with Ferrari, but he still has the rest of the season with Mercedes. Last weekend at the Japanese Grand Prix, Hamilton has been much happier being able to push the car through the high speed sections of Suzuka.
The race however, did not go as planned, with Hamilton limited to ninth place due to a combination of damage and strategy, while George Russell finished seventh.
At the end of the weekend, Toto Wolff admitted Mercedes are in a “rebuild phase”, and struggling to understand why the car isn’t producing the expected lap time gains. But that came against the backdrop of Mercedes learning that they are getting the down force numbers from the car on track that they are targeting, just without the performance being extracted from it.
