AFC Playoff Picture | Baltimore Ravens and Jacksonville Jaguars are leading their AFC division
The Baltimore Ravens (7-2) are doing just about everything good and are the clear leader of the AFC North. Aside from two games of losing to the Indianapolis Colts and Pittsburgh Steelers, Baltimore has been splendid.
They are the best rushing unit in the league under the first year coordinator Todd Monken, and they are also sixth in points per game (26.6).
The offense, together with quarterback Lamar Jackson is playing at a MVP Level. The defense has allowed nine touchdowns through 9 games and is posting stats that rival the historic 2000 Ravens.
The Jacksonville Jaguars (6-2) have won five games in a row and are now leading the AFC South by two games.
This has been a great effort by the team as quarterback Trevor Lawrence has thrown short of 1,200 yards with six touchdowns, running back Travis Etienne has been a huge force and totaling nearly 850 yards and eight touchdowns, receiver Christian Kirk has 520 yards, Calvin Ridley 451 yards and Evan Engram 434 yards.
The Jaguars defense has also been much better than expected, as they are now tied for the league lead in turnovers at 18. Linebacker Josh Allen is having the best year of his career with nine sacks and 48 QB pressures.

The AFC North has really showed up these last few weeks, in which all four teams are currently above .500. They have all been playing so well that if the season ended today they are all making it to the playoffs.
The Baltimore Ravens (7-2) is the current division leader with Nr. 2 seed, the Pittsburgh Steelers (5-3) follows in Nr. 5 seed , Cleveland Brown (5-3) follows in Nr. 6 seed and Cincinnati Bengals (5-3) in Nr. 7 seed. With this results, the Ravens would host the Bengals in a rematch of last years wild card clash.
Of course, there is still a half season to be played and the odds of this standing will all change. However, the AFC North became the group to beat in 2023.
Since the league added a third wild-card team to each conference in 2020, no division has sent all of its participants to the playoffs. But the idea of three teams making the postseason isn't too far-fetched.
